CONTAMINATED SOIL DECONTAMINATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decontamination method for decontaminating contaminated soil contaminated with radioactive cesium 137 to obtain decontamination soil with a high radioactive cesium decontamination ratio and a high collection ratio.

SOLUTION: A contaminated soil decontamination method is the method for removing radioactive cesium from contaminated soil contaminated with radioactive cesium 137, including: (i) performing the semi-autogenous/autogenous wet griding of contaminated soil in a griding machine to obtain the slurry of ground soil; (ii) continuously supplying the slurry of the ground soil to a liquid cyclone to allow the slurry of the contaminated soil to overflow from the liquid cyclone and also to allow the slurry of the decontamination soil to underflow from the liquid cyclone for classification; and (iii) adding a flotation agent containing a collector to the slurry of the contamination soil for the continuous supply to a floatation machine thereby to collect a floatation object with the radioactive cesium concentrated therein from the upper part of the floatation machine and also to collect underflow water (W1) from the lower part.
