WALKING TYPE ELECTRIC WORKING MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking type electric working machine hardly affected by an object intruding into the inner side of a control lever during the operation of holding the control lever.

SOLUTION: The control lever 40 is swingably supported around a horizontal shaft center 41 of a steering handle 6. The control lever 40 includes a portion 42 whose top is open and whose cross section is box-shaped. Bottom surfaces 42a and 42a of the box-shaped portion 42 are inclined downward from either side to the center in the lateral direction. A position sensor 44 for detecting that the control lever 40 is located at a holding position is disposed at a position separated upward from the bottom surfaces 42a and 42a of the box-shaped portion 42 and closer to a right or left vertical wall 42b of the bottom surface 42a and 42a of the box-shaped portion 42. The working machine also includes a control means for permitting the driving of an electric motor when the position sensor 44 detects that the control lever 40 is located at the holding position as the position sensor 44 is brought into contact with the bottom surface 42a of the control lever 40.
