<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a deterioration in the stability of liquid ejection in a liquid ejection apparatus and also to suppress an increase in power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid ejection apparatus includes a liquid ejection head having a plurality of nozzles ejecting liquid and a plurality of actuators driven according to a drive signal, and a drive circuit for supplying the drive signal to the liquid ejection head. The drive circuit includes a modulation circuit for adding or subtracting a frequency limiting clock signal which is generated from a predetermined reference clock signal, with reference to a drive waveform signal as a reference of the drive signal, and is subjected to pulse modulation by a self-excited modulation method to obtain a modulated signal, and a digital power amplifying circuit for power amplifying the modulated signal to obtain a power amplified modulated signal, and a smoothing filter for smoothing out the power amplified modulated signal to obtain the drive signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
