<p>Refining non-magnetic metals comprising waste or waste components, comprises (a) introducing a metal containing batch into a reactor (10), (b) heating the batch in a first chamber (11) of the reactor to a temperature (T1), (c) burning organic batch components at temperature (T1), (d) heating the batch in a second chamber (12) of the reactor to a temperature (T2), (e) heating the batch in a third chamber (13) of the reactor to a temperature (T3), and (f) supplying hot combustion gases to the first-, the second- and the third chambers. Refining non-magnetic metals comprising waste or waste components, comprises (a) introducing a metal containing batch into a reactor (10), (b) heating the batch in a first chamber (11) of the reactor to a temperature (T1), which is lower than the melting temperature of the metal, (c) burning organic batch components at temperature (T1), (d) heating the batch in a second chamber (12) of the reactor to a temperature (T2), which is higher than the melting temperature of a first metal and lower than the melting temperature of a second metal, (e) heating the batch in a third chamber (13) of the reactor to a temperature (T3), which is higher than the melting temperature of the second metal, and is lower than melting temperature of a third metal, and (f) supplying hot combustion gases to the first-, the second- and the third chambers. An independent claim is also included for a device for treating waste, preferably drying stability etc, comprising a reactor for refining non-magnetic metals and a heating device. The reactor has first-, second-, and third chambers, where the metal comprising the batch flows through the chambers, and the batch in the chambers is heated to different temperatures such that the respective metal is separated from the batch. The heating device is designed and connected to the chambers such that hot combustion gases are supplied to the first-, second- and third chambers.</p> |
