[Also in Division B8] Apparatus for conveying articles 20 to be heated through one or several inductors 2, 3, 4, comprises an assembly pivoted at one end 5, constituted by a support 1 for the inductors and a first support 6 for the articles, a frame 11, pivoted at its end 9 opposite that of first pivot, carrying rails 13 comprising a second support for the articles extending through the inductors, mechanism 15, 7 for lifting the free ends of the support and frame respectively and a reciprocating mechanism effecting horizontal movement of the articles. The articles on rails 13 are moved horizontally by a jack 18 and are placed on support 6 by lowering the frame 11 and raising the support 1, Fig. 2 (not shown). The article is replaced upon the rails by reversing the previous vertical movement of the frame and support. The rails 6 may be movable or water-cooled, alternatively they may be omitted if the article can rest on the insulating lining of the inductors. The lifting mechanism 15, 7 comprises hydraulic or pneumatic jacks these may be replaced by cams or levers.</p> |
