<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide toner which is excellent in blade cleaning property even when the toner is small particle sized toner capable of attaining high quality image, by manufacturing toner particles by spraying and injecting toner composition liquid in a gas phase to achieve irregular toner shapes without using an aqueous medium containing dispersant which impairs charging property. <P>SOLUTION: In the toner manufacturing method, a standing wave of liquid column resonance is formed by exerting vibration to a toner composition liquid 14 in a liquid column resonance chamber 18 having a discharge port 19, the toner composition liquid 14 is discharged from the discharge port 19 which is arranged at a region being an antinode of the standing wave to form a droplet 21, and the droplet 21 is solidified to obtain the toner. The toner composition liquid 14 is formed by dissolving or dispersing a toner composition containing at least two kinds of binder resins and colorant in an organic solvent.
