POWER CONTROL METHOD, POWER CONTROL UNIT, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power control method for supplying a suitable amount of power to respective loads without reducing a power factor.

SOLUTION: A power control method is for supplying an AC power respectively to a first load and a second load: supplying an AC power having a phase angle in a range of 0 to ϕ1 for each half cycle to the first load, and supplying an AC power having a phase angle in a range of ϕ2 to π for each half cycle to the second load. In this case, ϕ1 is larger than 0 and not larger than π, ϕ2 is not smaller than 0 and smaller than π, and ϕ1 is larger than ϕ2.
