<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a failure in a battery system including multiple battery cells, with relatively few computer resources. <P>SOLUTION: Battery modules 101 respectively include battery measurement devices 201 for measuring data of battery cells 100. Battery packs 102 respectively include battery pack management devices 202 which acquire data of the battery modules and manage charging and discharging of the battery modules. Each of the battery pack management devices includes: a storage device 202b which stores therein data, acquired from the battery measurement devices, of the battery cells for a short period of time; and a malfunction determination unit 202a which determines malfunction based on the data, stored in this storage device, of the battery cells. For the multiple battery packs, a battery group management device 203 is provided which is connected to the battery pack management devices in the battery packs. The battery group management device includes: a storage device 203b which stores therein data, acquired from the battery measurement devices, of the battery cells for a long period of time; and a malfunction determination unit 203a which determines malfunction based on the data, stored in this storage device, of the battery cells. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
