A vane pump comprises a stator (11), a rotor (15) which is rotatable relative to the stator (11), and a plurality of vanes (21) movably mounted on the rotor, which vanes divide a working chamber formed between the stator and the rotor into a plurality of working cells of varying volume. The rotor (15) surrounds the stator (11), wherein the vanes (21) project radially inward, with respect to the axis of rotation of the rotor (15), in the direction of the stator (11). |
