The machine (1) has a base (2) defining two side surfaces (5, 6) lying opposite to each other. A supporting unit (8) is arranged on the base for forming a supporting plane (P) for a workpiece. Two L-shaped drive portals (9, 17) are formed on respective side surfaces. The drive portals are moved along the base in a direction (3) and provided with respective processing heads (12, 20) for processing the workpieces. Each drive portal is provided with respective horizontal cross bars (11, 19) extending over the base in another direction (7). An independent claim is also included for a method for processing a workpiece. |
