<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication device or the like for a wireless LAN, which easily establishes communication between access point devices. <P>SOLUTION: By including predetermined network identification information and access point device identification information in an SSID character string of a wireless LAN, a desired access point device is detected from an SSID list created by scanning, and information required for connection can be acquired.
