<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage device that makes it possible to switch paths independent of a host. <P>SOLUTION: A storage device is connected to a host via an OpenFlow-based switch on a network. The storage device includes a disk array that accommodates data and a plurality of controller units that has a port for connecting to the network and controls I/O processing to the disk array. A first controller unit sets the switch not only for a first setting so as to transmit a packet that the host has transmitted to a second controller unit to the first controller unit but also for a second setting so as to give an appearance to the host such that the first controller has transmitted the packet, which had actually been transmitted by the second controller to the host.
