A smartphone CPU (60) searches for at least one or two connectable digital cameras, and classifies the at least one or two detected digital cameras into at least one or two groups. If a group selection operation is performed, whereby one of the at least one or two classified groups is selected, a connection is established with the at least one or two digital cameras belonging to the selected group. The smartphone CPU (60) displays on an LCD monitor (72) at least one or two live images output from each of the at least one or two connected digital cameras. The smartphone CPU (60) also changes the display format for the live images each time the status of connection with each digital camera changes, and also changes same in response to an image selection operation that selects one of the displayed live images.
