<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LED unit excellent on heat radiation, and an LED lighting fixture using the LED unit. <P>SOLUTION: The LED unit 10 includes a unit body 1 having LEDs 2 on one surface 1aa side and radiating heat generated from the LEDs 2 from the other surface side opposite to one surface 1aa side, and an outer shell part 3 for storing and holding the unit body 1 and made of a thermally conductive material.
