<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus which can perform frequency-selective suppression for acquiring signals to be acquired with greater signal intensity while suppressing signals to be suppressed more favorably. <P>SOLUTION: The magnetic resonance imaging apparatus includes: an imaging condition setting unit for setting an imaging condition for imaging by applying a second suppression pulse, which is different from a first suppression pulse, to a fat in a frequency-selective manner after applying the first suppression pulse for suppressing the fat in a frequency-selective manner; and an image data acquisition unit for acquiring image data in accordance with the imaging condition. The imaging condition setting unit makes a flip angle of the first suppression pulse different from that of the second suppression pulse and sets the imaging condition for suppressing the signal of a substance, remaining by the application of the first suppression pulse, by the application of the second suppression pulse. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
