<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the use amount of a coloring material for image recording of a color image, while suppressing deteriorated image quality. <P>SOLUTION: A resolution variable magnification processor (A) 4 converts a KCMY version data into a resolution equal to 1/n of an output resolution (n is an integer of 2 or greater). A halftone processor 5 halftone processes the converted KCMY version data. A resolution variable magnification processor (B) 6 replaces an ON dot of the KCMY version data after the halftone processing with an n×n dot pattern including an ON dot associated with a reduction rate of the coloring material use amount, whereas replaces an OFF dot with an n×n dot pattern not including an ON dot. The n×n dot pattern replaced from the ON dot of the KCMY version data is differentiated for each version and is varied on the basis of the dot position of the KCMY version data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
