<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control device which can urgently stop an engine in an emergency while preventing a mischievous emergency stop. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle control device includes: a stop operation detection means for detecting the stop operation which stops the engine of a vehicle 2; a consciousness state determination means for determining a consciousness state of a driver 3a of the vehicle 2; an operator determination means for determining whether an operator 3 of the stop operation is the driver 3a or an occupant 3b; an emergency state determination means for determining whether the state is an emergency state that the vehicle 2 is urgently stopped or a non-emergency state from a combination of the consciousness state and the operator 3; and an engine control means for stopping the engine in the emergency state, or continuing the operation of the engine in the non-emergency state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
