<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic composition that contains an amphoteric artificial copolymer and that is appropriate for the treatment of the skin or the hair. <P>SOLUTION: The cosmetic composition includes a water surfactant as required, and an amphoteric copolymer expressed by general formula (1). In the formula, R<SB POS="POST">1</SB>is a hydrogen atom or a methyl or an ethyl group; R<SB POS="POST">2</SB>, R<SB POS="POST">3</SB>, R<SB POS="POST">4</SB>, R<SB POS="POST">5</SB>, and R<SB POS="POST">6</SB>are the same or different linear or branched 1-6C alkyl, hydroxyalkyl or aminoalkyl groups; m is 0-10; n is an integer of 1-6; Z is -C(O)O- or -C(O)NH- group or an oxygen atom; A is the group (CH<SB POS="POST">2</SB>)p (p is 1-6, desirably an integer of 2-4); B is a linear or branched 2-12C polymethylene chain that may be interrupted by one or more hetero atoms or hetero groups and also that may be substituted by one or more hydroxy or amino groups; and X<SP POS="POST">-</SP>shows the same or different counter ions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
