<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device which can achieve a good image formation by preventing the occurrence of stripes on a toner layer carried on a developer carrier in a developing device and to provide an image forming apparatus using the same. <P>SOLUTION: A developing device 6 comprises a developing roller 62 for supplying a developer to a photoreceptor drum 32 to develop an electrostatic latent image formed on the photoreceptor drum 32 and a doctor blade 68 for regulating the layer thickness of the developer carried on the surface of the developing roller, wherein the surface of the developing roller 62 is unevenly formed, a first blast-processed area 62B and a second blast-processed area 62C, which are different in average roughness Ra in the surface roughness, are formed adjacently along a circumferential direction of the developing roller 62 on the uneven surface over the axial direction of the developing roller 62 respectively, and uneven part with different average roughness in a mixed state is formed in the boundary part of these areas. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
