<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve contact efficiency of odor substances and bacteria generated in a refrigerator and OH radical, in the refrigerator including a sterilizing/deodorizing device. <P>SOLUTION: This refrigerator includes a refrigerating temperature zone compartment and a freezing temperature zone compartment defined in a refrigerator body, a compressor, a cooler, an air blower disposed above the cooler and distributing cold air to the refrigerating temperature zone compartment and the freezing temperature zone compartment, a first damper controlling a supply amount of cold air to the refrigerating temperature zone compartment, a second damper controlling a supply amount of cold air to the freezing temperature zone compartment, and a control device controlling an operation. A cold air flow channel (67) is disposed at an outlet of the first damper for introducing the cold air blown out from the first damper to the refrigerating temperature zone compartment, an ultraviolet ray irradiating means (66) is disposed in the cold air flow channel, the OH radical is generated by making the ultraviolet ray irradiated by the ultraviolet ray irradiating means react with moisture included in the cold air, and the refrigerating temperature zone compartment is sterilized and deodorized by the OH radical. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
