<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control a recording device according to the configuration of a cartridge that is installed in the recording device and has plural ink tanks each storing the same color of ink. <P>SOLUTION: A composite processing device 1 is configured so that a cartridge that holds first and second ink tanks filled with inks of the same color is attachable.
