Disclosed is an adjustable air-bending die for air-bending metal workpieces in a press brake comprising two die pieces (2, 3) that are mounted on a die base (4) and have parallel support surfaces at the top to support the workpiece during the bending process, said support surfaces defining a support plane (s1). There is a V-shaped bending space for the air-bending process between the two die pieces (2, 3), which are connected to the die base (4) in such a way as to be adjustable relative to one another in order to adjust the die width (w1). In order to be able to use such an air-bending die also at relatively small die widths without having to perform complicated tool changes, the die base (4) is provided, between the two adjustable die pieces (2, 3), with fastening means for releasably mounting a separate air-bending die (16) which has a set die width, has a support plane (s2) lying above the support plane (s1) of the adjustable air-bending die (1), and has a die width (w2) smaller than the minimum die width (w1) of the adjustable air-bending die (1). |
