The invention relates to a fragrance container for a fragrancing device, comprising a fragrance tank and a cover, wherein the lid seals an opening of the fragrance tank and is provided with a valve, which is opened by pressing down on at least one actuation surface of at least one actuating element. In order to further improve upon protection from undesired escape of the fragrance while maintaining fail-safe operation, according to the invention the at least one actuation surface (37; 38) of the at least one actuating element (32; 35) is embedded, flush-mounted or sunken, in a recess of a body surface (39) of the cover, wherein the associated recess is substantially smaller than a fingertip. The cover (3) is fixedly attached to the fragrance tank (2) by way of a fastening device.
