摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a specific substance detection device and method that have simple and inexpensive configuration but are capable of directly and speedily detecting whether or not a detection object contains a specific substance (for example asbestos) without producing a specimen by extracting the same from the detection object. <P>SOLUTION: The specific substance detection device comprises: lighting equipment 200 which irradiates a detection object 100 with illuminating light including a near-infrared region; a near-infrared imaging sensor 500 which acquires image data by photographing the detection object 100 through a near-infrared spectral filter 400 transmitting near-infrared light with a predetermined wavelength corresponding to a specific substance; and detection means (PC 600) which obtains data on reflection intensity of the near-infrared light with the predetermined wavelength for each pixel on the basis of the acquired image data and detects whether or not the detection object 100 contains the specific substance (asbestos) for each pixel on the basis of an estimate value of an absorption peak level of each pixel obtained from the data on the reflection intensity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
