摘要 Allocating resources for transmitting content from a network element (e.g. Base Station or BodeB) in a communications network to one or more mobile devices each in communication with the network ele¬ ment (e.g. Base Station or BodeB) may include receiving (S210), at the network element (e.g. Base Station or BodeB), characteristic in¬ formation (e.g. downlink signal quality, screen size, screen resolution, subscriber class, video or complexity, or network related information like load or congestion status) corresponding to each of the one or more mobile devices; and generating (S220) one or more adaptive guaranteed bit rate, AGBR, values at the network element (e.g. Base Station or BodeB) corresponding to each of the one or more mobile devices, respectively. The AGBR values may be Guaranteed bit rate, GBR, values generated for each of the one or more mobile devices based on the corresponding characteristic information (e.g. quality, CQI, etc,...). A first scheduling algorithm (proportional fair) may be executed at the network element (base station) based on the one or more AGBR values; and resources may be allocated (S240) to the one or more mobile devices based on an output of the scheduling algo¬ rithm.
