The present invention relates to trestles, particularly builder's or decorator's trestles that can be used to support a platform for standing on. The trestle (1, Fig 1) comprises first and second support components (2, 3, 4, Fig 1) which inter-fit to form a stable support for a platform (101, Fig 1) . The first support component is characterised by a plurality of slots 13a, 13b, 14a, 14b extending inwardly from the periphery thereof towards a platform support portion 11. There is at least one resilient clip formed in a wall of the slot of the first support component. The resilient clip is arranged to retain a notch (24a, 24b) located upon the base support. Further inventions include a platform (101, Figs 1and 6) which comprises fingers (102, Fig 6) positioned such that the fingers of adjacent platforms interleave to enable formation of an extended platform area, and also a trestle assembly which comprises said trestle and said platform . |
