The invention relates to welding, namely to the equipment for contact upset welding of rails, and can be used both for welding individual rails, and for welding of long rail sections with preload setting, as well as at repair of tracks in the field, and is intended for supplying current through the stocks of movement and deposition, electrical clamp contacts with a controlled actuator and conductive flexible cross pieces to the clamping jaws of a welder and welded rails. A machine for contact upset welding of rails comprises two clamping tong devices made in the form of two double-armed levers mounted on a common central axle and isolated from each other, hydraulic cylinders of clamping and movement of welded parts, two welding transformers built in the double-armed levers of one of two clamping tongs and conductive elements comprising the stocks of displacement and deposition, electrical clamp contacts and flexible cross pieces. The electrical clamp contacts are equipped with controlled actuators, the upper portion of each electrical clamp contact has holes, through which guide rods pass, and on the lateral surface a retaining spring is attached. Use of the machine for contact upset welding rails with the electrical clamp contacts with controlled actuators allows to use the limited length of the current-carrying cross pieces and thus to avoid increase in the resistance of the electric circuit of welding machine, and thus to provide for stable welding process and consequently to prevent making defective welds. |
