A method of hatching and breeding fish comprises keeping spawned roe in flowing water having a salinity of eights parts per thousand during the hatching period, reducing the salinity of the water to four parts per thousand when hatching takes place and thereafter gradually increasing the salinity of the water to adapt the fry to sea water. |
