PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain the reduction of a liquid leakage at the time of filling a liquid into a liquid container and the simplification of the filling operation. SOLUTION: An ink supply port 22 in an ink cartridge 10 is connected to an ink supply unit. The filling of ink into an ink holder 30 through an ink quantity sensor 40 is started by an ink supply pump. The ink supplied through the ink supply port 22 flows to the ink holder 30 through the internal channels of the ink quantity sensor 40, namely, the first communicating conduit 42a, the second communicating conduit 42b and an ink channel 61 at least. If a predetermined quantity of ink is filled into the ink holder 30, the filling of ink into the ink holder 30 is stopped , and then an air vent processing is performed. If the air vent processing is finished, the connection between the ink supply port 22 of the ink cartridge 10 and the ink supply unit is released. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
