<p>A method and device for reporting and obtaining the capability of the machine type communication device are provided in the invention. The above method for reporting the capability of the machine type communication device includes that: a machine type communication (MTC) device, based on a same rule of a network side, maps the combination consisting of the capability parameters of the MTC device to be an index, wherein, the rule is the corresponding relationship between the capability parameters combination of the MTC device and the index; the MTC device reports the index to the network side. The invention saves the cost of the air interface resources.</p> |
