Skid-resistant elements 24 are detachably connected to loops 21 spaced around a cylindrical drum 18 on which twin tyre and rim assemblies 16 are secured. As shown in Fig. 1 each element 24 comprises a shoe closely embracing both tyres and held by a strap 22 hooked on to a loop 21. In a second embodiment (Fig. 3, not shown) studded straps are directly attached to loops 21 and pass around the outboard tyre only, being bolted at their other ends to an extension of drum 18. |
