A stand for a note or calendar pad 14, having filing perforations in the sheets thereof, consists of two parts 10, 12, which are entirely of moulded plastics material, such as polypropylene, polystyrene, polyvinylchloride, or nylon, the part 10 comprising a base 16 and inclined sides 18, with apertures 24 in the base which have one side sharpened to provide a ratchetlike tooth (24a) in'each aperture, and the part 12 comprises a roof-shaped cover 28 with depending sides 22, and prongs 26 which pass through the pad 14 and the apertures 24. The prongs 26 have each a number of notches such as 26a, 26b, 26c each of which can engage behind the ratchet-like tooth (24a) in an aperture 24 when the cover part 12 is pressed into padretaining position. The roof-shaped wall 28 is rendered flexible by a double Y-shaped groove 30 defining the four areas of the roof, and by an annular groove around the outer edge of the roof. The integral prongs 26 are immediately below the V's of the groove 30. Thus, when the cover part 12 is pressed down to grip the pad 14, the cover is flexed, and the prongs are splayed outwardly as they move downwardly. The edge 34 of the cover part is clamped tightly against the pad 14, and forms a tear-edge for the sheets.</p> |
