摘要 A cooling control system in a hybrid electric vehicle and a control method thereof are provided to enhance the fuel efficiency by installing a pump turned on/off according to the operation of an engine for reducing loss of energy. A cooling control system in a hybrid electric vehicle comprises a cooling water temperature sensor, a water temperature sensor of a PCU, an outer temperature sensor, a heater switch of a heater control, a cooling water passage(38), a pump motor(14) and a pump impeller(27), a valve assembly(26), and an ECU. The cooling water passage transfers cooling water flowed from a heater core to an engine and the PCU. The pump motor and the pump impeller are installed at the cooling water passage. The valve assembly selectively transfers the flow rate of cooling water flowed from each part of the engine and the PCE to the heater core. The ECU controls the operation of the valve assembly and the pump motor by inputting a sensing signal from the cooling water temperature sensor, the water temperature sensor, the outer temperature sensor, and the heater switch.
