An inflatable mattress bag (1) is provided for enabling the convenient transport of an inflatable mattress or lilo (7) by a beachgoer. The bag (1) comprises an internal compartment capable of receiving a fully inflated mattress (7) therein. The bag (1) further comprises at least one handle (5) or strap to enable the bag to be carried. At least one face of the outer surface of the bag (1) is formed from a towelling material. The bag (1) may also have securing means (2, 3, 4) to releasably retain said inflatable mattress (7) within the internal compartment and/or one or more additional pockets for carrying other items.
