Method/computer program for developing a recipe in an automated manufacturing environment, the method comprises steps of: Displaying an identifier of a procedure comprising a set of unit procedures which includes a set of operations which includes asset of phases; Displaying sets of unit procedures, operation and phase identifiers corresponding to respective procedures, operations and phases; Receiving a selection of source parameters and target parameters which are associated with respective routines, wherein each routine includes one of procedure ,operation and phase from respective sets; Automatically linking the source parameter to the target parameter based on the step of receiving the selections. Preferably the procedures, unit procedures, operations and phases (classes) are displayed in respective columns to define an interactive table, figures 31a-d. A user may click on the name of a desired phase to view the parameters defined for the elected phase and select a parameter, drag-and-drop the selected parameter in the location in the interactive table corresponding to a target operation. The user interface can then automatically generate a parameter name using predefined naming conventions and display the name of the newly generated parameter. The user interface allowing the user to drag-and drop across several layers of the hierarchy as shown by the arrow in figure 31c. |
