Provided is an organic EL display panel that improves aperture ratio by providing a contact hole beneath an aperture in a bank, and that prevents shortening of the display panel's lifetime by avoiding electric field concentration. Organic EL display panel (1) in the present invention is provided with an interlayer insulation film (13) formed on a TFT layer (11) and including contact holes, one per pixel; first electrodes (15) formed on the interlayer insulation film so as to conduct with power supply electrodes (12) in the TFT layer (11) via the contact holes (14); a bank (16) (16a, 16b) with apertures and contact holes (14) beneath the apertures; light-emitting layers (17a and 17b) formed in the apertures; and a second electrode (18) formed above the light-emitting layers (17a and 17b). A combined film thickness of the light-emitting layers (17a and 17b) formed in the contact holes (14) and the region thereabove (contact hole region) is formed to be thicker than a film thickness of the organic light-emitting layer formed in a region other than the contact hole region. |
