Crystalline aluminosilicate zeolites containing aluminium cations and having pore diameters of 6 to 15 Angstroms and an SiO2 to Al2O3 mol. ratio greater than 3, preferably 4 to 6, are used to crack hydrocarbon oils. Cracking may be carried out in fixed bed, moving bed, slurry or fluidized solid beds operating at 750 DEG to 1050 DEG F., pressures up to 100 p.s.i.g. and, in fluid systems, at catalyst to oil ratios of 1:1 to 20:1. |
