<p>The method involves simultaneously driving a drilling tool i.e. drill bit (11), in rotation along an axis (A) and in translation along the axis based on a forward movement, by using a driving mechanism i.e. positive feed drill (9). The forward movement is combined with an oscillatory movement, having sufficient amplitude, of the drill bit along the axis to break formed chips and to maintain the drill bit in a bore (61) during drilling, by using the driving mechanism. An independent claim is also included for a drilling machine comprising a case.</p> |
