PURPOSE: An arching pile is provided to improve the end bearing capacity of a pile by redistributing earth pressure into an arch shape on the ground touching surface of both ends of a hollow unit when a vertical load is applied. CONSTITUTION: An arching pile comprises a pile body(12) and an arching block(28). The arching block is made of a concrete block(20) which forms a hollow unit(18) at a lower end and a ground touching surface along the outer circumference of the hollow. The arching block is combined with a cover plate(22) by the upper end and is equipped with a reinforcement plate(24) and a reinforcement band(26) at the lower end. The pile body is made of a precast concrete pile(14) which forms a penetration unit and is equipped with an end shoe(16) which covers an end. The cover plate of the arching block and the end shoe of the pile body are combined by welding or a with connection unit. |
