METHOD FOR COMBINED SURGICAL TREATMENT OF PRIMARY OPEN ANGLE GLAUCOMA

摘要

A method for the combined surgical treatment of the primary open angle glaucoma comprises the classical deep non-penetrating sclerectomy with perforations of the anterior wall of Schlemm canal. Then phacoemulsification of cataract is provided with the implantation of the intraocular lens. The anterior capsule is stained with methylene blue solution for improving visualization. The interior wall of Schlemm canal is perforated keeping it covered with undamaged external wall. The remnants of the anterior capsule of the lens are introduced into the cavity of Schlemm canal on both sides of filtration area.
