FIELD: physics.SUBSTANCE: betatron (1), particularly in an x-ray inspection station, having an accelerator block which has a rotationally symmetrical inner yoke composed of two spaced-apart pieces (2a, 2b), at least one main field coil (6a, 6b), and a toroidal betatron tube (5) lying between the pieces (2a, 2b) of the inner yoke, with an outer yoke which embraces the accelerator block, connects the two pieces (2a, 2b) of the inner yoke, and has at least one lateral opening, as well as a lead shield which accommodates the accelerator block and the outer yoke, wherein the outer yoke consists of at least two parts which are movable relative to one another between an open and a closed position, and the accelerator block can laterally removed from the opening which is in the open position of the outer yoke. Betatron is fitted with means of fixing parts of the external yoke in a closed position, said means being accessible through the lead shield.EFFECT: easier replacement of the accelerator block through a heavy lead shield.10 cl, 3 dwg |
