A pedal comprises a body part (10), Fig. 1 (not shown), of moulded plastics material having a central portion (11) provided with a stepped bore journalled on steps 19, 20, 21 of a spindle 22, and a moulded deformable plastics cap 13 which snaps over the end 21 of the spindle to retain the part (10) in position against a shoulder 18, the cap being provided with a rib formation 31 which snap engages into a 45 degrees angled groove in the end 21.
