PURPOSE: A method for registering a device in a server and a device including the same are provided to register other devices which belong to other home networks in the server. CONSTITUTION: A server(330) registers a first device(310) by receiving the identification information of the first device. The first device inquires about the registration of a searched second device(320). A power saving mode of the second device is converted into an active mode according to a registration request. The second device transmits a message which is necessary for server registration to the first device. The server registers the second device according to a registration request of the first device.
