PURPOSE: A hood latch for a vehicle is provided to buffer impact caused by a collision of pedestrians and a hood and enable to reuse by fixing a latch unit again. CONSTITUTION: A hood latch(1) for a vehicle comprises a fixed bracket(10), a latch unit(20), an elastic support unit(30), and a restriction unit. The fixing bracket is fixed to a vehicle body(100). The latch unit is installed in the fixing bracket through a hinge shaft(22) as a turning structure. The latch unit restricts a striker(111) fixed to a hood(110), thereby locking the hood. The elastic unit supports the latch unit upwardly. The restrict unit fixes the latch unit to the fixing base while in the state of being turned downwardly and releases a fixed state of the upwardly bounced latch unit when collision signals are applied from a sensor module(120). |
