<p>According to one embodiment, a video data processing apparatus includes a file receiver, an analyzer, and a recorder. The file receiver receives a data file. The analyzer analyzes the data file, divides the data file into first data blocks of first data units, and adds index information to each of the first data blocks. The index information includes particular verification data located at a first position in the index information, and management information for playback of the each first data block.
