PURPOSE: A backlight unit and a liquid crystal display including the same are provided to minimize light loss by using a reflection sheet. CONSTITUTION: A backlight unit(120) includes a bottom cover(190), a reflection sheet(180), a light emitting diode(151,153,155), and an optical sheet(130). The light emitting diode is arranged in the edge of the bottom cover. The reflection sheet reflects the light of light emitting diode to a LCD panel(110). The optical sheet condenses and diffuses the reflected light. |
