PURPOSE: A system for editing a 3D virtual reality video and a method thereof are provided to express and edit a surface texture of an object in a 3D virtual reality image of a frame unit corresponding to the video in real time, thereby rapidly manufacturing a high quality video through high speed frame extraction. CONSTITUTION: An object rendering unit(100) comprises an object video of a 3D virtual reality image of a frame unit with sequential rendering of a node tree structure in real time. An image file storage unit(200) generates and stores an image, which is extracted by the sequential rendering, as a BMP(Bit MaP) file. A video file conversion unit(300) generates an AVI(Audio Video Interleaving) file and generates a video file by copying data of the sequential rendering to the AVI file corresponding to analysis contents of the BMP file.
