COMMUTATOR BRUSH POLISHING APPARATUS FOR LOCOMOTIVE TRACTION MOTOR

PURPOSE: A polishing device for a commutator brush of a traction motor of a diesel locomotive is provided to secure normal current flow of the traction motor by obtaining over 90% of the contact area between the commutator and the brush. CONSTITUTION: A polishing device for a commutator brush of a traction motor of a diesel locomotive comprises a motor(10), a reducer(11), a polishing drum(14), and a brush holder(16). The motor and the reducer generates and delivers a torque. A roll paper(15) is adhered to the outer circumference of the polishing drum and rotates by receiving the torque which is outputted from the reducer. The brush holder mounts the polished brush and maintains the brush in order to be polished on the roll paper of the polishing drum.
