A cylindrical roller bearing assembly capable of increasing the load bearing capability with respect to the thrust load and of easily controlling the shape of the cylindrical roller is provided. The cylindrical roller bearing assembly includes an inner ring, an outer ring and a plurality of cylindrical rollers. One or both of the inner and outer rings has/have a collar. A surface portion encompassed within the region of radial dimensions of 0.12 Da to 0.20 Da as measured from an outer diametric edge of an end face of each of the cylindrical rollers to a roller axis, wherein Da represents an outer diameter of each of the cylindrical rollers is rendered to be a crowned portion of a tapered shape inclined at an angle &thetas;r of 0.25 to 1° relative to a plane perpendicular to the roller axis. |
