A multi-air conditioner for simultaneous heating and cooling operation and a pipe setting method for the same are provided to facilitate pipe setting for matching a distributor and a plurality of indoor units by setting the pipe matching of the indoor units at an outdoor unit and transferring matching data to the distributor. A multi-air conditioner for simultaneous heating and cooling operation comprises at least one outdoor unit(10), a plurality of indoor units(31-34), and a distributor(21,22). The distributor is connected between the outdoor unit and the indoor units to control refrigerant flow of each pipe connected to the indoor units by controlling a valve. The outdoor unit comprises an indoor unit matching part provided with a plurality of switches for selecting one out of the distributor, the pipe of the distributor, and the indoor unit, and a control part matching the pipe of the distributor and the indoor unit in response to switch operations, and transferring matching data to the distributor. |
